Health, safety and environmental policy
Safe work at height is the foundation of everything we do. This policy sets out how we protect the health of our people, our clients and everyone around the site.

Management commitments
The management of KODAS Industries s.r.o. commits to:
- comply with applicable laws and other occupational health and safety (OHS) and environmental requirements in Slovakia and in every country where we work,
- prevent workplace injuries, occupational diseases, harm to health, damage to property and to the environment,
- assess hazards and risks before every project and set up working methods that reduce risks to a minimum,
- erect, modify and dismantle scaffolding according to the manufacturer's instructions, project documentation and applicable standards, and inspect every scaffold before handover,
- provide regular training and professional development and build safety awareness among our workers,
- ensure everyone on site uses the required personal protective equipment (PPE) in good condition,
- create the technical, organisational and staffing conditions for safe work and treat OHS as part of the duties of every manager and team leader,
- encourage workers to report every injury, near miss and hazardous situation without fear of blame – we review every event and take action,
- respect every worker's right to stop work when there is an imminent danger to themselves or others,
- keep workers informed about OHS and site risks and give them a voice on safety matters,
- handle materials responsibly, sort and dispose of waste properly and minimise the impact of our work on the site surroundings,
- continuously improve how we manage health, safety and the environment.
What we expect from everyone who works with us
- follow OHS rules, working methods and the team leader's instructions,
- always use a helmet, fall protection and other required PPE when working at height,
- never use damaged material or an incomplete scaffold,
- come to work sober and rested – see our Alcohol and drug policy,
- report injuries, near misses, damage and hazardous situations immediately.
Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to all employees, self-employed contractors and anyone else working on our projects. Everyone is briefed on it before starting on a project.
